Individual Action

As far as I know, people around the world already acknowledge about the automobile effect. The culture that it created, the hazardous CO2 emission, the traffic jams, the luxury, the fun and let’s not forgets the highway tolls.

In the environment action, the JPJ (Jabatan Pengangkutan Jalan) has already set the maximum CO2 emission from cars. The owner of the car will be summons if the JPJ found the car exceed. There aren’t many green keepers here in Malaysia, but still Malaysia is one of the countries that have lowest CO2 level (our country climate is hot because we live on the tropical climate, we don’t have 4 season).

From the autosports industry, we also have legal and illegal race tournaments. We already had been the host for the international F1 racing for many years. The Sepang Circuit has been proven to be one of the favorite racing circuit in the world. There are also the off-road tournaments like rally and 4x4 jungle trekking as Malaysia have amazing rain forests that have not been explored.

As for the economy, the local cars sales still put up a good fight against imported cars. It is because the PROTON and PERODUA cars are well known for the fuel saving engine technology. Plus, the Malaysia government gives subsidy on the petrol price making it one of the lowest in the world.

As for me, I didn’t own a car yet. But I hope that in the future, the automobile industry produce a more green, flexibility, and safety cars.
